Student Housing Long Term Rentals:
Please remember that Earthships are a relatively new concept, and student housing is an example of each experiment along the way. Student housing buildings are older and imperfect, but an excellent opportunity for individuals to understand design considerations. Troubleshooting and an open mind are required to learn this unique way of living. Our staff is always happy to address concerns and teach you about our unique systems.
Each bed rental requires a $100 refundable cleaning deposit. Cleaning deposits are returned 1-3 weeks after check-out, pending the cleanliness of the room. Cleaning deposits are returned via Venmo, Paypal, or a check in the mail.
Students must provide their own bedding.
The off-grid power systems do not support a microwave, coffee maker, rice cooker, slow cooker, hair dryer etc.
Please consider our greywater systems. Antibacterial soaps and bleach are prohibited as it destroys the beneficial bacteria of our planters. Please use biodegradable soaps/shower products with minimal chemicals.
Castle Compound Building
Consists of 2 off-grid buildings, a 25 min drive from the Greater World Earthship Community with shared student accommodations. This compound is our overflow shared housing that we offer only when the Hive & Eve compounds are fully booked.
Kitchen: The Castle has a full kitchen with a DC fridge, 4 burner stove top and oven, and sink. The off-grid power system does not support a microwave, coffee maker, rice cooker, slow cooker, hair dryer etc.

2-story, 3 room, off-grid building. Bedrooms allow for 2-5 roommates, twin beds only.
Shared full kitchen, shared bathroom, Wifi included.
Maximum Capacity: 10 people.
Price for the 4 weeks:
$400/person
*Please note that this price is for one bed in dormitory, you will be sharing this unit with other people.
Our student housing is available for monthly stay from August 2023 to March 2024
