Hello!

My name is Liz Colabraro and I am casting for the MTV documentary series “Teen Cribs.”

“Teen Cribs” grants teenagers with the help of their family and friends, the opportunity to serve as a tour guide of their dwelling giving the world an idea of what makes their home special to them and their families. On Teen Cribs we seek energetic teens and young adults (13-23) with interesting and unique features to their homes or way of living that showcases their individuality, interests, pastimes, and family unity. “Teen Cribs” has aired everything from multi-million dollar homes with air gun fields in the backyard and elaborate karaoke soundstages inside; to alternative housing options like a dome shaped home and even a cave.

We do seek interesting features to homes but we also care about highlighting the personality of the teens via the home. What does the family enjoy to do together at home? What about when the friends come over? What makes them proud about their home? We are interested in the back stories. If the owners are also the designers, then what inspired that? The teens and the family are the guides, so in collaboration with the producers, they talk about what they want to talk about and they showcase what they want to showcase.

Once a pitch is submitted and approved, filming can be done in as early as 1-2 weeks. Of course, everything would be set to accommodate the schedules of the family. It’s a one day shoot with an additional day for a walkthrough. The crew is small; 5-8 people max. No vans, no hassle, very simple. In and out as if no one was ever there. Family and friends are invited to attend! We encourage it. Within reason of course! We want to capture an authentic picture of the family and their friends enjoying the home.

The family will be given 2 DVD copies of the show once it is complete and credits can be granted when appropriate. Being this is filmed as a documentary there is no pay, BUT, the kids, family, and friends are guaranteed an exciting and fun experience both day of filming and on the night of its premiere. In addition to that, the message about Earthships will be relayed to a captive audience.

This is a family focus show. Simple, smooth, and fun is the way we work! We are all very personable and would be their every step of the way. This experience generates smiles of happiness and even tears of happiness for all, and THAT is what we aim for.
