YOU are invited to Earthship Biotecture’s Education Facility and Visitor’s Center!

Children under 12 get in free. The self-guided tour through this gallery-style Education Facility allows you to experience a fully-functioning Earthship that combines passive solar architecture, thermal mass construction, renewable energy, integrated water systems that include indoor food growing, and the use of natural and recycled materials.

Self-guided tours $7 - Arrive at any time between 10 am and 4 pm and you will be greeted by one of our friendly staff members or hard-working interns.

As you walk through the building at your own pace, signs, displays, information binders, videos, and slideshows will educate you on different aspects of the Earthship concept. Books, videos, and other merchandise items are available for purchase in the main gallery space so you can continue to learn and share after leaving Earthship’s World Headquarters. These items can also be purchased from our online store.

Guided Tours
Staff is available between Mondays and Fridays to guide tours for groups of ten or more. Guided tours are $12 per person and require a 50% non-refundable deposit upon booking. To schedule a guided tour, call the Visitor’s Center at 575-613-4409.

Nightly Rentals
Please note that the Visitor’s Center is an Earthship designed to educate the public and is not set up as a fully-furnished home.

If you are interested in staying a fully-furnished home, you can book a few nights in an Earthship Nightly Rental and experience what it’s like to live in an Earthship.

Walk-ins can be booked in the Visitor’s Center, availability permitting. Renters must check-in at the Visitor’s Center before being escorted to their Earthship. Renters get free admission to the self-guided tour.

Directions from Taos, NM
to the Earthship World Headquarters:

•.Go North on Paseo del Pueblo through Taos and the town of El Prado.

•.GO LEFT ON HWY 64 to the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge (about 7.8 miles).

•.Earthship World Headquarters is about 1.5 miles past the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge on the right.

Earthship World Headquarters is easily accessible from Albuquerque International Airport (3 hours), Colorado Springs Airport (3.5 hours), and Denver International Airport (5 hours)

Albuquerque Airport Shuttle: Faust Transportation 505-758-3410, Pride of Taos 800-273-8340. Daily shuttle to & from Taos. Also Private Shuttle Express Runs and Taxi Service.

Taos/Angel Fire Resort Shuttle: 4 round trips every Monday - Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Shuttle service on Thursdays and Sundays is on a space-available basis with boarding priority to Charter Flight guests. All shuttle services are complimentary. For details call 800-633-7463.
