AWESOME! I love the thought of using the timber from your own land for you eship!! Re finding someone to cut you a deal on dozing...Transportation to site, Fuel, machinery, and time cost money. You may check w/ your sawmill guy and see if he has a dozer, or knows a logger who has one. In their downtime farmers and loggers are looking to make extra $$$ and may quote you a competitive price. You may also try posting a notice for bid on Craigslist, in your local paper, and local shopper. Unless you have a buddy, family member, or neighbor who REALLY likes you it is going to cost to have dirt moved...

I think that's awesome you are building in SC. I'm in Charleston. I think the earthship concept is amazing, and could really be an answer to bringing folks to the state if they would ease up on the permits, and create a pocket of freedom. Let us know when you start to build.
