After years of careful consideration, I have concluded that there is no other way to build. I need a home for me and my 2 children. I live in the Ozark Mountains and am needing to know if there is one plan over the other, better suited to my region. We have a little bit of seismic activity, is this of concern? Patricia, Earthships are incredibly strong, and yet they do have a little 'give.' Certainly, more than concrete and steel!

I can tell you this: in the event of an earthquake, or any natural disaster, I would want my grandchildren in an Earthship--I think it is the safest structure they could be in, under any circumstance.

I'm interested in knowing how safe these constructions are from hurricane force winds, heavy flooding, fires, break-ins and possible ballistics compared to that of common housing structures.
