Earthship Academy Global Session
January 6-31, 2014
We are pleased to announce the very first Earthship Academy Global Session. The Earthship Academy offers extensive training in Earthship design principles, construction methods and philosophy. The Earthship Academy has trained over 200 students from around the world. We are building an Earthship Army and the Academy offers education for those who are excited to learn and expand the Earthship concept globally. This is the first time we are offering a session outside our headquarters in Taos, New Mexico.
We will teach hands-on building techniques while constructing a 2U Simple Survival Earthship. This structure is going to be a public art project. The space will be an educational sculpture used to demonstrate Earthship technology while helping to clean up the coastline by using trash in the construction process. Read More
Greetings Tasmanian Earthship and sustainable building supporters!
After much waiting there’s finally an Earthship event coming up for Tassie
Come along if you’ve heard about Earthships and want to find out more or would like to sign up and join the movement starting across Australia to bring this radical sustainble architecture and living model to us here!
The Earthship crew is currently working with Long Way Home in Comalapa, Guatemala building a 3-U Survival Pod Earthship for Romeo Apen and his family.
The structure for the Survival Pod is more or less the same as the Vaulted Global model Earthship. However, the systems in place for a Survival Pod Earthship are mainly what differentiates in the affordability and the attainability of these buildings for more people. The systems are functional, but abbreviated in these structures.
the builds been going incredibly. the weird questions i got people to ask in hope of them aligning intention, actually worked!! the vibrations here have been really high. the photos here are of work completed after 3 days. we even have the grey water and black water cells in. at this rate we are well on schedule to finish in 2 and a half weeks from now. yesterday people were pounding until 7 at night. we have been taking 3 and a half hour breaks everyday to swim at the beach. the communal lunches have been fun. the seminar went well at the beginning. some people were in tears. and those tears were of inspiration and joy!
The time has come to get serious about sustainability. We have had over 200 years of resource pillaging, growth addiction and economic aerobics. We have divided and conquered. Harmony is long overdue. Lets turn plagiarism into collaboration and thrive just as nature intended it.
Join Duuvy Jester for a fun, informative talk in the heart of Brunswick. He will be discussing the philosophy, science, physics and practicalities that live within the belly of the world that is Earthship. Hear all about his experiences in the Earthship academy out on the mesa in Taos, New Mexico.
