What better way to save materials and resources, and to be environmentally friendly than to use those that are in place already?
Earthship Biotecture adapts old buildings according to the six Earthship building principles, to turn them into more energy-efficient, human-friendly homes. For example, solar panels and a power organizing module (POM) can be installed. Some buildings can be buried on their north-faces, improving passive heating and cooling capabilities of the building. Along the same lines, some buildings can be better insulated, or a south-facing greenhouse can be added, contributing to both better passive heating and cooling, as well as to food production.

The possibilities are endless and depend on the existing building. If you are interested in retrofitting your home, and wish to find out more, send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
