Aquabotanical System, Academy 2015 This email contains graphics, so if you don't see them, view it in your browser.
The towers aquabotanical system is taking off at the Greater World Community.
We have combined our long standing botanical cell grey water treatment system with aquaponics. The result - aquabotanicals - is proving to be a more user friendly method of using fish to support plants and plants to support fish.
The view from above shows the botanical cell surrounding the fish pond. The water from the pond constantly flows through the botanical cell providing nourishment and water for the plants. The plants provide oxygenation for the water flowing back to the fish.
Food and three kinds of fish (catfish, koi, and bluegill) is the result. Earthships are producing more and more food with each evolution.
There’s still time to apply for our two remaining 2015 Earthship Academy Sessions in Taos, New Mexico!
September 1-29 Taos, New Mexico October 1-29 Taos, New Mexico
Hands-on projects for 2015 include completing a Global Model Earthship, starting a new one from the ground up and working on the Earthship Village Ecologies project (EVE).
