Modular Earthships provide more sculptural rooms and greater variety of spaces than Packaged Earthships. Because every room surrounds you with thermal mass, the rooms provide an embracing thermal stability. The Earthship modules may be built individually, step by step to create a comprehensive approach for all aspects of a complete sustainable home.

They are basically spaces that can be used as kitchen, living, dining, bedroom, study or any arrangement of the above, i.e. a "U" module is a room module typically larger than single rooms in conventional homes. Available from one room to many for multiple bedrooms and living spaces.

Hut Module - The round room of this design is better in earthquake zones and can be cooler and easier and less expensive to build. Available from one room to many for multiple bedrooms and living spaces. A great first step into Earthship Biotecture. This design is mostly used by Earthship Biotecture for workshops and disaster relief projects.

Greenhouse Module - The Greenhouse Module is essentially the frontface. This module can be either sloped or vertical. The Greenhouse can be an addition to an existing frontface, deck or wall. Creating a double frontface is ideal in extreme hot and extreme cold climates. This will create more stable temperatures. The Greenhouse module is a conventional structures to "house" the greywater portion of the sewage module.

Systems Module - The engine of the Earthship. The organization and packaging of the independent systems for a sustainable home. Systems are generally 25 percent of the construction cost of a home, providing little to no utility bills every month. Water harvest and storage. Energy harvest and storage. Heat water with the sun.

Sewage Module - Use greywater to flush your toilet. Contain sewage and don't pollute the environment. Treat sewage with a "jungle". Don't pollute underground water aquifers.

Combine different earthship modules and the packaged earthship to create a
hybrid-earthship.
